Restaurant overflow tables are placed in court area of upscale Beverly Hills shopping arcade. Just beyond our table was a curtain blocking traffic from the backside of the, closed for the evening, retail shops.This is the defacto smoking area. Management refused to request people from smoking there, claiming that it was beyond their control. Upon exiting the restaurant, we observed other smokers in the front drinking/entertainment area. This helped explain the overall constant smoke smell that was noticeable all evening.
